Welcome to our website, hosted by Peter Nutt. Pete volunteered for this and we extend our thanks to him for this very valuable asset.

What’s happening in the North West…

Pete Cartner is having a well earned break off his reporting duties, but returning soon, thanks, Pete Nutt

Mid summer 2025 seems to have arrived like a lightening flash, half way through the season already and a few favorites behind us now. It’s true you can’t have too much of a good thing. Pete Cartner is hoping to be back on the scene shortly, so I can slide back into the background shortly with a little luck. Season opener for most of us didn’t happen until April at Healey Dell and the dry warm spring helped with the D day events across the region.

‘D day week’ followed on right after the traditional St. Georges day parade in Manchester, with members attending a variety of smaller events across the region. Witton Park, Blackburn with our West Pennines colleagues being the primary event. With Tony Kershaw and myself attending a well organised VE day event at Middleton Cricket Club and others attending an event organised through Mike & Brenda Smith at Flowery Field primary school, kids loved it.

June & July saw two of my summer favorites, Heywood 40’s & Debdale Park. Plenty going on for all ages at Heywood as usual and a great variety of vehicles turned up for the event, including a great local turnout for the parade lap.
The wide open space at Debdale Park in Gorton is an ideal venue and the quality turnout of U.S. and classic cars make for a very interesting day. The organisers always work hard to put on a great event, always a pleasure to attend.

We have already heard from Glossop 40’s team, such a great event in 2024 and will be returning for 2026
probably in May, keep watching the events calendar.
